Admissions Steps

Each year, IOK School strives to admit the most qualified applicants from the surrounding community. Due to low class sizes, and a limited number of seats available every year, all applicants to IOK School must undergo all components of our admissions process. Our on-line process opens yearly in early March.

Please note that current students have priority. While we are accepting general on-line inquiries from community members, we are also re-enrolling our current students. Based on spaces available at the conclusion of the re-enrollment process, we will begin admission interviews.

  1. Complete an on-line inquiry
    • Answer ALL questions
  2. Applicants for Grades 1-10
    • Scan and email report cards for the previous semester and past two school years to School@instituteofknowledge.com
    • Scan and email standardized test results for the previous two school years to school@instituteofknowledge.com
    • Conduct Sylvan Learning Assessment for Math & ELA, and then scan and email the results to school@instituteofknowledge.com
      • A discount may be given if mention “IOK School” at the time of booking.
  3. Applicants for Grades TK/KG
    • Scan and email any report cards and certificates of completion received for any type of Preschool, Montessori, TK, or other early childhood learning environment
  4. Email copies of birth certificate or passport, recent physical, and current immunization record
    • All applicants for TK/KG need to show proof of 4-year old booster shots
    • All applicants for 7th grade need to show proof of booster shots (TDAP)
  5. Applicants will be called in for admission interviews beginning in late April.
    • Admission interviews include a meeting with the prospective family, the student applicant, and at least one school director.
    • A school tour will be conducted at the time of the admission interviews
  6. Additional documents may be requested at the time of the interview
  7. Parents will be notified of the status of the application within 7-10 business days of the admissions interviews. Parents will be given 72 hours to accept or decline the offer of admissions and make the initial payment of fees and tuition.
