TRIM Project
Legacy Fund
This Legacy Fund on behalf of our deceased family members will gather funds to sponsor student education at the Institute of Knowledge in Diamond Bar, CA and help to cover burial costs for families in need. This project is called the TRIM Project in honor of our family members. Read more about them below.
Tasneem (May Allah have mercy on her) believed in the power of prayer, duas and as much the application of our words. She applied quranic teachings to daily life as she understood that Islam is a way of life. Tasneem, not only believed kindness to be a good trait but also used kindness as an ice breaker. This project will continue her effort to spread kindness and apply those quranic teachings.

Rahat Faghfoor (May Allah have mercy on him) spent his life seeking knowledge and encouraging those around him to do the same. He believed the path to uplifting the Ummah was through proper Islamic education. He had the utmost respect for our scholars and avidly supported those who devoted their lives to the study of the Deen. One of his favorite Duas was “Rabbi zidnī ‘ilmā nafiā“ (O My Lord! Increase me in knowledge that is of benefit). TRIM is a humble effort to further this knowledge for future generations.

Iqbal Hamiduzzaman (May Allah have mercy on him) was a man of few words but constant action. His life was filled with adversity overcome through tawakkul and countless accomplishments but he lived his life with the belief that all praise is for Allah ﷻ and never accepted any praise for himself. His true excellence is known only to Allah ﷻ but we hope to continue to add to his book of good deeds by supporting what he loved most–education. In life, his love for education propelled his daughters to professional success. With his passing we hope to propel an entire community closer to Allah ﷻ.

Our beloved Mushir (May Allah have mercy on him) passed away in April 2021, in the month of Ramadan, the month of the Quran. Mushir loved the Quran, he listened to it day and night and had made his intention to memorize it. Unfortunately, he became ill before he was able to fulfill his wish, InshaAllah with this scholarship program he will be able to pass on his dream of Quran memorization to others.
